About Sarah

My studies have been a blend of Western biomedical training, Traditional Chinese and herbal medical training, and intuitive and  shamanic healing methods.  As my teacher Dr. Wang, the 1984 Yang style Tai Chi Chinese National Champion, says, healing is both an art and a science.

I graduated from massage school in Sarasota, FL, in 1998.  I sought certification in Neuromuscular Therapy and Myofascial Release from the Center Point Institute that year, as well as beginning craniosacral therapy and Reiki training.

I continued studying craniosacral therapy with the Upledger Institute, and then biodynamic CST and perinatal therapy through Franklyn Sills and Ray Castellino.  I love working with the fluid body so I expanded my fluid tools with the Chikly school of Lymphatic Drainage in 2008.

I earned my BA in Religious Studies at Macalester College in St, Paul, MN, and my Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture from the East-West College in Sarasota, FL, in 2005.

I studied extensively with Ruben Orellas, Kristin White, Shahabuddin Less, and other shamanic teachers.  I studied homeopathy and healing arts with Randall Barolet and Martin Keane.  I am also certified in facilitating Burt Helinger's Family Constellation therapy.

My greatest teachers have been my clinical work - what I learn with my hands and clients, and the amazing clinical pearls that my colleagues in physical therapy, acupuncture, and bodywork fields have shared with me through the decades.
